August TV premiere dates – Weeds, Ghosts, Shatner, Pitchman

I recently re-discovered IT Crowd, suddenly the show is making more sense than before. I’m also really enjoying Criss Angel’s Mindfreak, but probably for the wrong reasons. Still, the next few weeks will get you Shatner, Man vs. Wild, Ghost Hunters, Weeds, and Pitchman. All worthy shows, especially Weeds – I wonder how the season [...]

Lost finale will be simulcast overseas

British Yahoo website is reporting that Lost finale next week will be simulcast in multiple countries “to curb illegal downloading”. See full article here. Other countries are also listed in the simulcast – Canada, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Israel and Turkey. Side note to all geography fans, Canada is a little tiny country just north of [...]

May TV premiere dates

You’d think that May has become a wasteland month of new television. Better to watch your favourite shows wrap up for the season, than start on anything new. Think again. This month quite a few new shows are coming to TV, and some of your old faves are back too. It’s a smaller than usual [...]

Machete – from fake trailer to real movie

You remember those fake movie trailers in Tarantino’s Grindhouse? A couple of them played just before the first film, and a couple more – during the intermission. Looks like one of them is being made into a real movie – Machete with Danny Trejo. This is either another sign of the looming apocalypse (you know, [...]

Carla Gugino on Californication

Yay! Carla Gugino is back on regular TV (Californication). Her stint a few years back as Karen Sisco didn’t last long (only 9 episodes, not all aired), and the guest spots in Entourage a couple of seasons ago were fantastic, but also short (10 episodes). It’s good to see her back, and this show can [...]

Conan O’Brien begins his comedy tour

Conan’s “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television” comedy tour began last night in Eugene, Oregon. I still can’t believe this show sold out so quickly. Thirty (30!) stops, two months, and even a few visits to Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto), and I still was too late online to get a single ticket.

Jennifer Morrison back on House this Monday (FOX)

Jennifer Morrison (who played Dr. Cameron on House) is coming back next week. This is the big episode that Hugh Laurie was supposed to direct, and her guest-spot isn’t the only thing that I’m looking forward to. Apparently, the episode deals with a lockdown in the hospital (probably a virus attack, or a power outage), [...]
