Season finales much sooner than you think
We all expected this TV season to be all screwy because of the writers’ strike. But this is a little too much, even for those who have massive libraries of TV shows to fall back on (yes, it’s time for Frasier/Family Guy/Friends marathons for me, and that’s only the shows starting with ‘F’).
Anyway, since the strike is still going on, many shows are running out of their scripted episodes, and have no other choice but end them sooner. Much sooner. Many arcs unfinished, many stories untold. For some shows, this might be a good thing – they can start fresh in the summer, bring in new people, new blood. For newcomers to this year – I think this is a kiss of death. They do not have a full-season commitment, and most likely do not have the budget or interest in continuing at all.
Enjoy these last few episodes – this is going to be one hell of Winter. Too bad about the new shows – they have practically no chance of coming back in the fall. Here’s the schedule:
