Oscar nominations are out
Well, a day after Razzies were announced it’s time to celebrate all the good, inspiring and admirable about the movie business. 2005 has been a horrible year for blockbusters and sequels (yay!), and a very good year for small films, festival fare, critically acclaimed gems (that nobody saw, unfortunately). Well, here’s a list of this year’s nominees (our picks are in red; actual winners marked with asterisk*). Many of them have been featured on our site (so we’re in good company). Check them out in a local theater, or on DVD. We did good – guessed 17 out of 24 categories. Stay tuned for winners of the contest – a few people guessed more than us. Perhaps it was your entry.
