NBC fall 2007 premieres

NBC, being the last network in ratings for two seasons straight, is beginning to catch on. No, they’re not necessarily putting on better shows (only time will show that, as we found out with demise of Studio 60), they’re simply announcing their sked sooner, in order to create some buzz. At this point, positive or negative is irrelevant. They need public’s attention and sponsor’s involvement. Apparently, no amount of critical praise is going to save a show (Studio 60 reference again), if the masses, as well as the network are not excited about it. So here are the newbies – Chuck, Journeyman, Bionic Woman. Plenty of buzz, but perhaps after ComiCon we’ll have a better idea of how interesting these shows can be. My money is on Heroes, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Earl and The Office. It’s good to see Law and Order spinoffs move to USA networks – perhaps something more engaging will appear on NBC. I’ll exercise cautious optimism with the new shows – they sure sound good on paper. Here are the dates.
