Actor Gerard Butler Out The Closet

Things should be looking peachy for actor Gerard Butler right now. The lead-part in Joel Schumacher’s highly-anticipated movie adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera, Butler is one step closer to securing his place in Hollywood.

But in what should be a time of eager anticipations appears to be more a time for coming clean. Is Gerard following in the footsteps of Pop Idol winner, Will Young by declaring his sexuality to the world?

A fellow student from Glasgow University, where Gerard obtained his law degree, admits:  “Gerard was very different to the man you see on the movie screen nowadays. Back then, he used to dye his hair peroxide blond and wear very camp clothes”

Celebrity interviewer- Andi Peters commented:  “Everyone will be crediting this as the reason Gerard was cast as the Phantom when he has such little singing experience”
