Box Office Previews longest yardmadagascarWe're going to resume doing these weekend previews - just because Hollywood refuses to grow up. Let's see, this weekend we have a battle between an Adam Sandler remake, and a Dreamworks animation cash-in. Who will prevail - a loud, angry, in-your-face sports romp The Longest Yard, or cutesy, colourful, mindless animal adventure Madagascar. Well, if you want sports done right, check out Kicking and Screaming, or the original Longest Yard with Burn Reynolds; for animated animals, go to your video store and rent Antz, A Bug's Life, Finding Nemo, or even Ice Age. The better alternatives are there, so save your time and money on counless copies and weak imitations. Despite how much these two will rake in.
